Emily & The Barn

Award-Winning Chef Emily Lampson (née Watkins) moved to Dorset in 2017 with her husband Miles and their four young children. Emily began her career in Italy before joining The Fat Duck, where she was part of the team when the restaurant earned its third Michelin star. Soon after, she and Miles bought The Kingham Plough in Oxfordshire, which they ran for 12 successful years. During this time, Emily earned multiple accolades including Chef of the Year, The Good Pub Guide Dining Pub of the Year, 3 AA Rosettes, and competing and winning BBC’s Great British Menu.

At THE BARN, Emily now creates unforgettable food-led experiences, from intimate supper clubs to forage-and-feast events, yoga and nutrition retreats, art and food collaborations, and hands-on masterclasses.

The space itself is as versatile as it is beautiful. With floor-to-ceiling windows, sweeping countryside views, and expansive walls perfect for art displays, THE BARN is available to hire for catered events, workshops, exhibitions, and collaborative gatherings.

Rooted in the family’s working smallholding, where heritage cattle, sheep, and pigs are raised sustainably, much of the produce served at events comes directly from the farm — with seasonal meat and products also available to buy. This farm-to-table ethos is at the heart of everything Emily does.
